   Medical transcription other known as MT, is an health allied profession dealing with the process of transcribing the voice recorded medical reports that are dictated by the physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners. and those medical reports can be voice files, notes taken during a lecture, or other spoken material.


The ideal qualification for a medical transcriptionist is graduation with English comprehensive skill and preferably undergoing a training course in medical transcription(MT).The growing volume of healthcare services is expected to continue to increase demand for transcription services. when compared to coding with transcriptionist, skilled coders are paid more than medical transcriptionist.

a MT usually need to have postsecondary training, which could be either one or two year certification. courses included in these programs were anatomy, medical terminology, medical legal issues and grammar and the punctuation. 

The report becomes a permanent medical record in the name of the patient and is stored electronically. the medical transcriptionist must now be skilled to proofread reports and edit voice recognition drafts reports well.
